Scope and Content
This collection consists of approximately 200 letters written on a daily basis by Shelby McMillion to his wife, Charlotte W. McMillion, while stationed in England during World War II. These letters cover a time span from June through December, 1943. Specific dates, locations, people, and other detailed descriptions are included in Shelby's letters. Much of his writing discusses details of his daily life, usually unrelated to the military or current events. Not included are the correspondence letters written from Charlotte to her husband.
