Scope and Content

Tom Manthey compiled this volume about his World War II experiences. The volume includes a reproduction of a letter to Tom from his parents while serving as well as some of Manthey's military records (some original, some photocopies), including an enlistment record and an honorable discharge certificate. The volume also includes a series of articles published in the "Altamont Enterprise" written by Ed Cowley, a fellow soldier of Manthey's. Manthey includes some of his own thoughts about his experiences in an appendix. Manthey also includes some information about the 94th Infantry Division found online.
