Frederick C. Waite papers
Scope and Contents
The collection consists of Waite's personal papers and research and notes. The personal papers consist of Waite's high school and World War I ephemera include certificates, report cards, graduation program, diploma, and honorable discharge. The collection also includes Waite's collected notes and typed report on the history of the Hudson schools.

Biographical / Historical
Professor and founder of the Department of Histology and Embryology at Case Western Reserve University Medical and Dental Schools. Waite was born in Hudson, Ohio, to Nelson and Cynthia Post Waite, graduated from Western Reserve Academy in 1888, and graduated from WRU with the B.Litt. degree in 1892 and A.M. degree in 1894. Waite was appointed professor at Case Western in 1901. During World War I, he served as captain in the U.S. Surgeon General's Office. Waite authored publications on Case Western and Hudson.
