Correspondence of the Adair, McFarland, Remington, Crothers, and Ward families (primarily typescripts), relatives of abolitionist John Brown. Collection also includes newspaper clippings, pamphlets, and genealogy.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

The collection was donated by Dr. Gerald McFarland and Dr. Morris Adair (accession no. 1985-1838), descendants of the Brown family.
