Scope and Contents

The collection consists of 22 CDs of interviews (interviewee detailed below) and 1 CD of a United States World War II photo album. A DVD of the John Krum interview is also part of the collection. The CD of the Krum interview was found to be blank in 2008 and was recopied to a DVD. Also includes a newspaper article about the project.

Interview subjects include: Ralph and Joan Buchanan, Roseann Canfora, Joe Caniglia, Donald Cardis, Katie Coulton, Chuck Fertick, Ben Harrington, James Jaqusch, John Krum, Gerhard Kunze, Greg Lawton, Liz Murphy, John Ong, Kenneth Radie, Tim Riley, George Sleigh, Robert Swedenborg, Carol and Tony Ulrich, Kathy Veith, Thomas L. Vince, Lewis Walker, and Frank Youngwerth.

Biographical / Historical

Accelerated social studies teacher Marty Bach received a $2,500 grant from the Ohio Historical Society to develop a service learning project utilizing local history to benefit the city. 22 students from Bach's class interviewed a number of residents from various backgrounds including a September 11 survivor, former owner's of Turner's Mill restaurant, former Mayor John Krum, and more.
