Walter Deckel photographs
Scope and Content
The collection consists of 20 black and white proof sheets (8 photographs per sheet) with photographs of interiors and exteriors of various Hudson homes. There is also (1) 8"x10" photograph of an interior kitchen. All photographs were taken for the 1973 publication, "Hudson, Ohio, an Architectural and Historical Study," with some marks and notations on the photographs. The collection also includes two sheets of paper that appear to be a key to Deckel's display of photography at the Hudson Library & Historical Society entitled, "Photographic essay for the Hudson Library and Historical Society. An exploration of Hudson residential architecture before 1900 to note typical details and scale" (undated).

Biography of Biography or History
Walter Deckel (1955-1981) was a Hudson resident and graduate of Hudson High School. He was a professional photographer who captured scenes in Hudson. He also worked with photographer Dick Kaiser under the name 'WIDIK.'
