Kiwanis International, formerly known as the Supreme Lodge Benevolent Order of Brothers, an international organization founded in 1915 by several individuals. Its original focus was on networking within the business world but ultimately shifted to child development. The Kiwanis Club of Hudson was formed in 1951 and largely focuses on children's involvement in sports. One of the club's earliest actions was the organization of Little League baseball teams in 1951. During the next fifty years, the Kiwanis Club of Hudson contributed to the sports community through fundraising, donations, organization of a soccer league, and a scholarship program. Although the club's focus is sports development, it also contributes to other parts of the Hudson community such as the Hudson Library & Historical Society, the local food pantry, and the city's bandstand.
