Biographical / Historical
In 1943, the Hudson Library placed a front-page advertisement in the local Hudson newspaper, The Times, requesting all willing service members to provide basic information concerning their enlistment in the war effort. Anyone who served with the U.S. government, an allied government, or the United Nations was encouraged to respond.
