The collection consists of three booklets. A 1930 and 1931 booklet describing the nature school program, including cost, faculty and background, and a 1931 Junior Nature Guides booklet. The collection also includes a collection of black and white photographs of the 1931 Nature Guide School, held at Western Reserve Academy.

Biography of Biography or History

The Nature Guide School was established in 1928 by Western Reserve University Professor William Gould Vinal (1881-1976) as a summer school for the "training of both adults and children as nature leaders." The Nature Guide School was affiliated with the Western Reserve University Department Education conducted in co-operation with Western Reserve Academy at Hudson, Ohio.
