Biography of Biography or History
Chauncey Case (1775-1863) and Cleopatra Hayes Case (1868-1938) arrived in Hudson in 1814. In 1831, they built a farmhouse on East Barlow Road, now known as Case-Barlow Farm. Chauncey and Cleopatra had 10 children: Laura Case (1802-1825), Chauncy (1803-1892), Clarinda (1808-1869), Parintha, (1810-1849), Lora (1811-1884), Edward Case (1814-1866), Lucian (1816-1896), Henry (1817-1884), Amelia (1819-1882), Maria (1822-1882). In 1853, the home was transferred to Henry (1817-1884) and Mary Lucia Goodman Case (1829-1902). The farm was passed down among the generations and remained in the family until 1996.
