The collection includes records for a 10-year span of the Hudson Concert Series Association from 1959-1969. Organized by season, each concert folder includes all correspondence with performers and members, publicity, membership and organization records, newspapers articles, programs, posters and artist bios. The papers document the history and contributions of the Hudson Concert Series.

History of the Hudson Concert Series Association
Underwritten by the Hudson Concert Series Association and founded by Mr. Albert (1909-1976) and Phyllis Edelman, the Hudson Concert Series provided free concerts that introduced new musical styles and entertained the Hudson community, as well as provided scholarships to local youth for continuing musical studies. The first performance of the Hudson Concert Series featured the Metropolitan Ensemble on December 6, 1959 at 4 p.m. in Ellsworth Hall.
