Scope and Content
The Anne Hopkins Burnham papers consist primarily of her photographs and negatives of homes, buildings, structures, and events in Hudson, Ohio, most taken in connection with the 1973 National Trust Tour event. Other photographs include early childhood and military photographs of her husband Bradford Burnham. The collection also contains personal correspondence, manuscripts, pamphlets, records, and letters pertaining to her involvement in preservation of Hudson, Ohio.

Biography of Biography or History
Anne Hopkins Burnham (1929-1993) was an artist known for her drawings, photography, and needlepoint. She was also an architect and local historian who contributed to preservation and restoration efforts throughout the community. Ms. Burnham was a native to Cleveland, Ohio, and moved to Hudson in 1952 after marrying Bradford Burnham. Anne and her husband lived at 15 Prospect Street in Hudson and both served as Charter HHA members. Anne was a principal creator of the "Green Plan" bond issue passed in 1976 dedicated to saving the Green, restoring the Town Hall, moving the firehouse, and creating green space along the railroad right-of-way. She also built a model of the Hudson Village which stood in Town Hall. She was a member of the Architectural Board Review that establishes standards for construction in the village. She was an avid contributor to the 1973 National Trust Tour, a house and building tour, in Hudson.

The manuscripts, records, and letters have been maintained in original order and separated by folders depending on the document type, committee, or project. The photographs are generally organized by street name and in the original order. The collection is divided into five series: 1. Memorial Documents 2. Photographs 3. Family Correspondence and Records 4. Program Publicity, Correspondence, and Records 5. Papers and Manuscripts
