Background, 1999-2000
Scope and Contents
This series contains news articles and correspondence between WRA alumni, concerned Hudsonites and the WRA board of trustees, president and headmaster. News articles include background information on Burton D. Morgan (PD article 11/2/00) and his stipulations for when he donates money to organizations. The articles also chronicle the initial grant given to the school, the preparation to construct the building and the growing concern on the location of the building. The correspondence begins with letters written by concerned alumni, especially Harrison Bubb to Headmaster Henry "Skip" Flanagan. Correspondence also includes a letter to "Friends of the Reserve" from Board of Trustees President, H. Arthur Bellows regarding the process of obtaining the grant from the Morgan Foundation.
